Yupe, aku skarang kat Medan. Doing first year in Dentistry at North Sumatera University (USU).
Dont wanna talk how's life in here as long as i've been able adapting myself here, dats enuff.
Some of my frens are still confuse of what im up to now. Haih... Attention peeps! im not doing medicine as i planned last time. Its a long story la to explain why. Got something to do with agent la. But, who cares. Im happy with what i got now. As i said before, maybe God has a better plan than i had for myself. He knows wuts better for me. And Alhamdulillah, so far i can adapt myself into a new world which i'd never thought of before; Dentistry!
I arrived in Medan on 15th of August 2007. So, until today, Its been more than two months i didnt eat nasi lemak, roti canai, keropok lekor, didnt get the latest issue of Seni Beladiri mag, and, and.. (and the list goes on!)
hehe. Frens here are great! I enjoy with them most of the time. But, ya la... ofcoz la anything also has its ups and down. Sometimes we got ourselves into a lil argumentation and misunderstanding among us. But still, i believe deep down inside of everyone's heart, there's love to each other.
Here, RM1 is equal to RP2500 (more or less laa. That's the standard value).
Classes here... erm.. Lectures here.... aamm.. Hard to say lah. How to say ah??
haha. At first, the accomodation and the campus surroundings were the hardest part for me to get adapted with (besides adapting myself with the local foods!!). It wuz quite difficult laaa since i've been to UNIMAS first before this and have enjoyed the facilities there. Well, there's nothing in USU that can be compared to any local Uni in Malaysia. *wink, wink*
But im impressed with the spirits shown by the lecturer. Kat sini, awal aku cakap, takde lecturer yang muda2 tau. kalau ada pun, mungkin akhir umur 20-an. kebanyakannya tua-tua je. but when its time to give lecture, they are the most patient lecturer. Sanggup naik tangga 3 tingkat ke kelas kami tau. Tak mengeluh lak tu! (Kecuali Cik Tirami yang paling banyak songeh, mengada2 dan masuk kelas pun hanya buang masa. She's wasting our money la senang cakap).

One thing that always made me wonder is the Lab rule. Kat UNIMAS dulu, aku dak Kimia. Rajin masuk lab. Tapi, kitorang dibenarkan untuk masuk dengan menggunakan jeans. Wajib berkasut. kat USU ni, DILARANG SAMA SEKALI berseluar jeans. Tapi, skirt pendek dibenarkan pulak.
Wah,wah.. kalau aku la Lab moderator, dah lama aku kuatkuasakan peraturan lab UNIMAS di USU. Bukan apa, logiknya, tidak ada langsung ciri-ciri keselamatan terhadap pelajar yang menggunakan skirt di dalam lab. Malah, bagi mereka yang menggunakan seluar jeans lagi terjamin keselamatannya.
Alasannya? Cuba bayangkan jika balang yang mengandungi asid pekat terjatuh ke atas lantai. Kaca berderai dan larutan asid pulak mungkin ada yang TERPERCIK ke kaki pelajar.
Siapa yang pakai jeans, selamat laa..sebab jeans dia yang berlubang dulu. Tapi bagi sesiapa yang pakai skirts, kompom esok lusa dah takleh tayang kaki lagi dah. Betul tak? betul kan??
haa... tu jela yang dok buat aku musykil (sebenarnya ada BANYAAAAKKK lagi yang buat aku musykil hidup kat sini). haha.
Apa pun, aku dah boleh adaptasikan diri aku kat sini. Kalau dulu, asyik nangis senyap-senyap dalam hati je. hoho. Apa boleh buat la. dulu masa mula-mula datang, sikit2 nak compare dengan Malaysia. But now, everything's ok la.
So, insyaAllah.. kalau tak extend, aku akan bergelar doctor dalam jangka masa 5 tahun. Tapi, perjalanan aku sebagai 'pemburu ilmu' insyaAllah takkan terhenti setakat itu sahaja. Akan ada kesinambungannya.... Begitulah kata ayahandaku.
